1. Agreement

By using makerviking.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.

2. What we publish

Articles, printer build documentation, wiki pages, 3D models and print settings. All of it is provided for information. None of it is professional engineering, electrical or safety advice.

3. Intellectual property

Unless a page says otherwise, the text, photographs, diagrams, models and designs on this site belong to MakerViking and are protected by copyright. Quoting a short passage with a link back is welcome; republishing an article or redistributing a model is not.

4. Using our models and downloads

Where a model carries its own licence, that licence governs and overrides this section. Otherwise:

• Personal, non-commercial printing is permitted.
• Selling prints made from our models, or redistributing the files, requires written permission.
• Print settings and material recommendations are starting points, not guarantees.

5. 3D printing is your risk

3D printers involve high temperatures, moving parts and mains electricity, and printer modifications can void a manufacturer's warranty. Everything here is provided as is, without warranty. You are responsible for judging whether a build, a modification or a print is safe on your machine, and for any damage or injury that results.

6. What you agree not to do

• Use the site for anything unlawful.
• Infringe our intellectual property rights or anyone else’s.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
• Scrape, mirror or republish the site at scale.
• Transmit malicious code or interfere with the site’s operation.

7. Advertising and affiliate links

This site is funded by advertising and by affiliate links, including Google AdSense and Amazon Associates. If you buy through an affiliate link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we recommend or what we say about it. How advertising affects your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Links to other sites

We link to retailers, model repositories, forums and manufacturers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices.

9. Availability

We make no promise that the site will be available without interruption, or that any particular article, model or download will remain online.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakerViking is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for damage to equipment or materials, arising from your use of this site or anything you found on it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
